Stephen Moyer

Stephen John Emery is an English television and film actor. He is best known for his role as "Bill Compton" in HBO's "True Blood". However, he's know for his role in other films and television series such as "The Bastard Executioner", "Conjugal Rites", and "Shots Fired". He currently portrays Reed Strucker on FOX's The Gifted.

Biography

Stephen was born on October 11, 1969 in Brentwood, Essex, England. He attended St Martin's School, and graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. During October of 2007, he became Brentwood Theater's first patron after supporting their campaign to help fund the completion of backstage facilities.

Following his graduation from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, he worked with the National Theater Wales, the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Oxford Stage Company for five years.

Afterwards, Moyer then transitioned to television and film, where he eventually landed perhaps his most notable role as Bill Compton on "True Blood". It was during the filming of this hit television series that Moyer became engaged to fellow actress, and co-star Anna Paquin, in August of 2009. About a year later they were married, and by 2012, they had children.

He loves boxing.
True Blood was not his only role in a vampire related film or television show. He also appeared in "Ultraviolet" and "Priest".
