Biography

Coby is biracial. He was born on May 11, 1975, in Orange County, California to a Caucasian mother and an African-American father, better known as the Broadway actor Michel Bell. After graduating from San Jose State University with honors, he began his acting career with a number of minor roles in shows, including The Parent 'Hood, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Smart Guy. His first large role was as Patrick Owen in CBS' L.A. Doctors..

His biggest roles on television series are without a doubt Third Watch and Burn Notice. He also had a main/major recurring role on the BET series The Game, where he portrayed Jason Pitts.
