Norona was born on December 14, 1972, in Hialeah, Florida to Cuban parents Jorge Noroña and Edith Iglesias. He showed interest in acting during his adolescence, joining several school plays.
Norona made his acting debut in the 1993 film "Money for Nothing", landing a minor role as U.S. Air Ticket Clerk. Since then he has made many appearances in television series and films, "Mister Sterling", "Six Feet Under", "Lipstick Jungle", "Ugly Betty" and "In Case of Emergency", to name a few. Along with acting, Norona also writes. He wrote a screenplay/story in 2000 entitled "Alligator Alley".
