Amy Louise Acker is an American actress. She is best known for her work in television series like "Angel", "Alias", and "Person of Interest". She currently portrays Caitlin Strucker on FOX's The Gifted.

Biography Edit

Amy was born on December 5, 1976 in Dallas, Texas to a house wife mother and a lawyer father. She studied dance for 13 years before turning her attention to acting. She graduated from Lake Highlands High School, and subsequently earned a bachelor's degree in theater from Southern Methodist University. She's also done a bit of modeling. During her junior year, she modeled for J. Crew catalog, and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in the same year, as she worked as a stage actress.

She had numerous guest appearance and minor roles on such television shows as "To Serve and Protect", "Wishbone", and "Special Unit 2". She even appearance in a short film or two, all this leading her to undoubtedly her biggest role as "Winifred Burkle" on The WB's "Angel".
